Styling: The Babydoll Dress

One of the new pieces we have in the shop that I'm most excited about is the Frankie Babydoll Dress. I love how you can twist the charm of a classic babydoll silhouette in multiple ways - funkier, sleeker, punkier, or cozier - it seems to play with every style type. This version is made from a mid-weight cotton, which is nice and breathable when temps swing from chillier in the mornings to warmer midday. 

Here are a few ideas on how to wear this dress as the leaves change. I've styled these looks with a mix of pieces from the shop and vintage pieces from my own wardrobe - I'll be linking all of the shop pieces or similar when possible!

Look #1: Summer to Fall

I love that the longer silhouette of the suede jacket makes a more streamlined silhouette - with just the ruffle trim of the dress peeking out. Paired with a leather flat rather than a sandal to keep the direction of the season. I would also style this look with a longer waisted blazer and a loafer. 

Look #2: Boots, baby!

If you're a fan of the unexpected shoe theory - this one is for you! I think any chunkier tall boot would pair nicely with this dress - I just happen to have a pair of vintage patent leather cowboy boots, so...when in Rome. I liked the whimsy of the Good Fortune Bag in Polka Dot to finish off the ensemble. PS: yes I love to mix navy + black :)

Look #3: Cappuccino + Cookie

Titled so as I would be heading to my favorite coffee shop in the crisp air to order precisely that. Here's a similar vintage trench coat. 

Look #4: Cozy Volume

Paired with an oversized vintage pullover sweater - although I think this vintage chunky cardigan would look wonderful as well. Come try it on together in the shop! Also these new striped socks will be in my heavy rotation this season.
